After speaking up to the world private affairs of the Amercian Government, he became the target of the government´s wrath. Summing up: Edward has spoken too much. In other words, freedom of expression has a limit, specially if someone decides to misspeak about The United States. Unfortunately, Edward has gone too far, at least in the american viewpoint.
And by now, he is in hot waters. Only God knows what may happen to him. No one knows if he will be forgiven or not; only future will show up the final result of this story. For finishing: Revealing up State Secrets is dangerous, illegal, immoral and may result in real troubles anywhere in the world, against any government.
